The OG copy legend has returned
The copywriting world can be a little cult-like.
There are a few rock star copywriters people worship, simply because they were good at getting people to buy stuff. They're like the Beatles of direct response, complete with screaming fans and all.
Not to sound like some copy snob... but some of these Mount Rushmore copywriters I just don't jibe with.
And it's not even about their copy. It's about the ethos behind their copy. The whole "punch 'em in the face with hype" approach just isn't my jam...
And those endless strings of yellow highlighter promises and ALL CAPS EXCITEMENT feel about as authentic as a three-dollar bill.
But there's one rockstar that I wholeheartedly endorse: The great Gary Bencivenga.
Gary may be the greatest copywriter of all time. And I don't say that lightly.
The man had an 80% success rate beating control packages. That's like a baseball player hitting .800 for their entire career, when even the legends struggle to hit .300. Absurd.
He's the copywriter other copywriters study. And if you read his stuff, you'll immediately know why.
Gary's copy is insanely persuasive. But its also generous... which may sound like a weird thing to say about sales copy. But it's the truth.
Gary's copy is detailed, warm, and enthusiastic. Every word feels like it was chosen to inspire you to greater possibilities. No cheap tricks needed.
I'm not here to hype up Gary B, 'coz he doesn't need it. What I am here to do is let you in on a hot tip:
Gary just launched a new email list...
So if you want free marketing lessons from one of the greatest marketing minds of all time, I suggest you hop on it, right now:

Gary's old newsletter "Bencivenga Bullets" is legendary in the copywriting world. It's a font of direct response knowledge that people still study and apply today.
But it's also around 20 years old... which makes the fact that Gary's writing and sharing his wisdom again so cool.
So don't miss out. Get thy buns over to Gary's Marketing Maxims, stat.
I mean, when's the last time you had the chance to learn from a legend?
